About the Vib-Ribbon series
Shortly after the success of his first game, PaRappa The Rapper, Masaya Matsuura had pretty much complete freedom to do what he wanted next. It was his love of music, video games, vector graphics, and analog waves that sparked the idea for Vib-Ribbon. It didn't sell too well, but it's originally Japan and Europe only release on the Playstation 1 earned the game a cult following. The game was later released on the Playstation Network for everybody to enjoy. Before that, however, Japan got an exclusive spin-off in the form of Mojib-Ribbon on the Playstation 2. Later, a proper sequel to Vib-Ribbon was released also on Playstation 2 in the form of Vib-Ripple, also Japan-exclusive.
Helping Out
There are plenty of things we need help with! Here's a couple of pages that are still a bit incomplete:
- Yoko Fujita: Add more details about career and life, especially relating to Laugh & Peace and Vib-Ribbon
- Masaya Matsuura: Add more details about career and life, especially relating to Vib-Ribbon
- NanaOn-Sha: List all published games, more content relating to Vib-Ribbon
- Peta Characters: Add a list of all characters once it is compiled
- Laugh & Peace (Group): Proofread and list full discography, more content relating to Vib-Ribbon
- Mojib-Ribbon Soundtrack: Add a page for each song, condense related songs into one page
- Vib-Rihon (Vib-Ribbon art book): Add proper translations for each page
- In general, add references to all pages wherever possible
- Vib-Ribbon Soundtrack: Delete this page and move its content to the main Vib-Ribbon page. Only physical soundtrack releases should get their own pages, and this soundtrack never saw a standalone release. Redirect other mentions of the soundtrack on other pages to the soundtrack section of the Vib-Ribbon page.
